Why Photography Matters?
There is something so valuable about having photographs of your life and your loved ones. Despite what technology advances have happened, photographs are still what people search for to display when a loved one passes away. Having photos taken of me with my children every year is truly invaluable. You truly never know when something can change.
So photography has always been an important part of my life. My father was into photography. He was an engineer but before he had kids, he would actually photograph weddings on the weekends sometimes. My dad had quite the collection of film cameras around the house. Then when I was in high school, I had to do a project on someone famous and I chose Ansel Adams. It was the perfect combination of two things that I love – National Parks and Photography. Did you know that my brother also is into photography? He has a passion for travel/landscape photography and has photographed locations all over the world. I guess you could say it makes complete sense that I wound up as a photographer as an adult…..although I took a roundabout way to get here.

My family grew by one sweet little boy in 2012! And you can bet his photographer mama practiced nonstop on him when he was born!
After spending lots of time photographing my daughter, I felt pulled to start documenting other people with my camera. I held a few model calls to see if I liked it and I fell in love. From that point on, I focused 100% on growing my business!
Once I had my daughter, I decided to be a stay at home mom. I wanted to start documenting every single moment of her life. I received a DSLR camera for my first mother's day and it changed the course of my life forever.
Becoming a mom was the best day of my life. Being a mom gives me purposes and truly completes me.
I loved my time at Millersville University. I even played on the Women's Soccer team there. Never in a million years thought I'd become a portrait photographer!
